These are my first Naot sandals/shoes. I love the thicker leather & more solid appearance – I’m not into cute, curly details, and wanted a comfy and stylish gladiator sandal for an upcoming trip to Rome (lots of walking ahead). In the store I worried about the velcro on both sides at the ankle – it rubbed a tiny bit while I walked around, but I loved the look so much and trusted the brand, so I bought them. And after just a few days of walking around town in them to break them in pre-trip they are completely comfortable. I have had no blisters or rub marks on my delicate (deskjob girl) ankles. I am shocked that a sandal with leather and velcro by my ankles could be so completely comfortable. I’m an 8.5 with normal width feet, and the naot size 9 fit perfectly. (the velcro assures that you can get them as snug to your feet as you like). The strap by the toes had felt like they were almost too tight at first, but are perfect – I wouldn’t want them looser for sure.
